SHAPE: 7UP is concerned with notions of temporality and journey: the passage or transitory progress. The exhibition does not present a purely linear representation of these concepts, but rather exhibits a range of works that navigate time, place and transition from many viewpoints, be it through time based media, conceptually exploring the past, imagining the future or representing the transition of one season to the next. SHAPE: 7UP also looks to its own past through the inclusion of Shape alumni. SHAPE: 7UP investigates the progression of our past QUT graduates, from student practitioners to professionals, who continue to contribute to the Creative Industries in a variety of ways. In this way the exhibition sheds light upon the many pathways available for students as well as illuminating the excellent outcomes of these practices.
