David PrickettScope Volunteer Firefighting Helmet
|
2007 › BEE › Graduate Diploma in Industrial Design Scope is a volunteer firefighting helmet that electronically captures distressing situations through visual, audible and environmental stimuli. The product detects high levels of stress and records five minutes of distressing situational data – video, audio, smoke, heat and stress. After operation, the firefighter removes the data storage pack from the back of the helmet and hands it over to the debriefing psychologist. This data can be downloaded to a computer where the psychologist can determine the best way to treat the firefighter. Debriefing processes can be customised to suit personal experiences and therefore enhance the recovery process.
