2007 › BEE › Graduate Diploma in Industrial Design The aim, developed by the designer after research on a chosen topic, was to design a toy appropriate for children aged between 3 and 4 (cognitive development stage for self control habits) that assists the child in practicing, and learning the benefits of delay of gratification. The product; ‘Puggle’, is a toy which can be completely operated by a young child, and has games in counting, alphabet and patience. Puggle’s exercises employ many proven methods in teaching children skills in delay of gratification, increasing their chances of leading healthier and more successful lifestyles when they become adults.
