2007 › BEE › Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture The community of West End, Kurilpa currently faces pressure of fragmentation and gentrification within its existing landscape and community. Unreleased council plans for the area along Montague Road and the Brisbane River, consist of dramatic change both physical and cultural. This masterplan focuses on alternatives to such dramatic change; community as the leaders of the functionality of the landscape, with the plan outlining possible direction.
Extract the qualities of natural shelters and workspaces, focusing on the reuse of elements that already exist. Manipulate in diminutive the existing, initiating the germination of new opportunities by the community, allowing new uses within old spaces, |
