Language is an agent that both affects and expresses a body. Whilst ephemeral in nature, language impacts our lives in very physical and determining ways, and yet it is a mode that does not entirely encapsulate lived experience. Our sensibility of touch allows for experience of the ‘ways’ in which something exists in the world. Through touch one can understand intimately the surface, structure and qualities intrinsic to something actual.

This work is an exploration of the materiality of language, and of what is ineffable, highlighting how these threads directly affect the way in which we engage and experience all that touches us.
