Mapping Eternity is a paper assemblage, created using hand made Nepal and Japanese papers and dust jackets from antique books, dated as early as 1926. The papers are hand died and painted using ink, gouache, acrylic, binder and bleach. The concept for this work was to create an abstract visual field, representing the rhythmic flow of life, depicted by movement and changes in the pattern. Another important element of this work is time, which is communicated through decayed and aged materials and the expended time creating the surface and pattern.
