‘Insight out’ is a multi-use creative precinct, situated on the Brisbane River’s West End reach. It is a robust design response to the area’s increasing gentrification and corresponding loss of affordable space for West End’s ‘creative class.’ Situated on a former industrial site, ‘Insight Out’ incorporates studio space and an art gallery with a skate park and affordable residential. It serves as an inclusive precinct, which welcomes amongst others, artists, performers, musicians, skaters, martial artists, the youth and the homeless. In doing so, it acts as a flourishing marketplace for West End’s creative economy.
