2007 › BEE › Graduate Diploma in Industrial Design Hydroaid is a garment that is worn to replenish fluids and nutrients, lost during exercise and physical activity, through the surface of the skin.
The product is designed so that the administration of these fluids occurs automatically. Sensors incorporated into the shirt analyse body temperature and sweat content and trigger the hydration mechanism accordingly. Hydroaid utilises smart material technology as well as innovative features such as microneedles and a wearable electronic interface. |
